Definition of the techno-system of the Solutrean is currently an important aim into the area of the prehistoric research. The vast cultural heritage and the palaeoenvironmental data have allowed for a better application and organization of analysis than in the past. There have been new discoveries made in different areas of research, such as investigation on and off site, geostatistical approaches and palaeoclimatic models. The aim of the 3° Internationa Conference on the Solutrean is to unite all specialists who study groups of hunter-gatherers of western Europe during the last glacial maximum. The conference is organized by the Interdisciplinary Center for Archaeology and Evolution of Human Behavior (ICArEHB), by the University of Cologne and by Neanderthal Museum, and it will be situated at the Universidade do Algarve (Faro, Portogallo) from the 12th to the 14th October 2017 .
