Chronology of the archaeological site: Roman Age; from the Republican Age to the Post Classic Age

Scientific Direction: Professor  Massimiliano David, Università di Bologna

Archaeological Season: From the 10th of September to the 21st of October 2017

Shifts:

1° Shift (Green Shift): Sunday 10th of September  – Saturday 23rd of September 2017
2° Shift (Blue Shift): Sunday 24h of September- Saturday 7th of October 2017
3° Shift (Yellow Shift): Sunday 8th of October – Saturday 21st of October 2017

Planned activities: digging on the site, laboratory activities, lessons and visits to Roman archaeological areas.

Vaccinations and Medical Certificates: anti-tetanus vaccination, medical certificate of good health.

Equipment: safety shoes, safety helmet, trowel, protective glasses, work gloves, work clothes.

Insurance: Personal insurance or Insurance given by Home University.

Course on site safety: Mandatory. Students can attend an online course, before the archaeological season, using the accounts given by the University of Bologna.

Deadline: To apply send an email to Professor Massimiliano David; e-mail  massimiliano.david@unibo.it, by the 1st of June 2017 ( email subject: Ostia Marina Project 2017). The participants will be selected by the 1st of July and they will receive further information by the  15th of August 2017.
